CiVL and Moving Picture Institute are collaborating to celebrate filmmakers who use their craft to bring awareness to big issues facing humanity. This is a season for gratitude, forgiveness, and reflection. We decided to commit this next week to films about criminal justice reform.
Infraction, by Timothy Blackwood, is a film based on the true story of Terrance Lewis who spent 21 years in prison on a wrongful conviction before he was exonerated and released in 2019. He founded The Liberation Foundation dedicated to wrongful conviction claims and supporting those preparing to return home.
